The older deer suddenly raised her head and started to listen. She pricked up her ears and with her nostrils slightly flared she kept staring in one direction. She ignored the man with the camera. She knew that he was a pest but otherwise harmless. She seemed to tremble as she heard that awful sound again. (pls switch on your speakers). She is sort of an aunt to the younger ones. She was always kind to them and has been like a mother to them from the time their real mothers “officially” separated from them. Her name is Dora – they call her “Aunt Do” – spelled "Doe” actually. A slight smile flickered across Doe’s face as she remembered how often last year she had outrun that nasty old stag .

Dora was sure she could still outrun him but she was concerned about the young ones. Last year the stag had left them alone because they were still quite young. The young ones knew that the stag was no good company but they still didn’t know why. Dora was really worried. She must do something.

Influenced by Tick? – Yes! Forget the story. Hope you like the image. See the worried look on aunt Doe’s face?
