A replica of a vessel for holding liquid found in the Iron Age and still a popular rustic design today.

This one was sitting snugly against the rampart wall and gate tower at the Eceni Village I visit, in amongst the nettles and plants.

The 'woven' looking wood to one side is the gatehouse and that technique is known as 'Wattle'.
