The botanical building in Balboa Park is a wonderful place for macros. We took a trip there a couple weeks ago. Here is one of the best. Taken with Canon 30D w/400mm Novoflex @ f/8.0, RAW, 1/200, ISO 250, -0.3 EV Enjoy!
