September 2006--My twins (age 6) after completing a grueling hike up Le'ahi Crater (Diamondhead). If anyone has done the hike, you are aware of what a b***h the hike is. Having done the hike plenty of times in my youth (having been raised in Honolulu) I passed on the hike, and instead had a shave ice, took some pictures and sunbathed...while my husband and the kids went all the way to the top!!
