This church has been around for awhile. I remember going to this church when I was around seven years old. Looking up some old facts about it I found an obituary telling of an old gentlemen who had fought in the civil war having his send off preached at this church around the year of 1891. One of the statements made about the man was "While he had his faults, as all others have them, yet he was a true friend and died with a hope of blessed immortality in the world beyond."
