This is The Mersey Ferry Snowdrop.I went on a 50 minute round trip on her today. Unfortunately the weather was not brilliant and there was low dark grey clouds and drizzle for much of the time.

This is an important weekend for Liverpool and Merseyside. Firstly, up at Royal Birkdale Golf Course in Southport (20 miles up the coast) The Open Golf Tournament is taking place. And, secondly over 70 Tall Ships have gathered for the start of The Tall Ships Race which starts on Monday. It is expected that over one million people will visit Liverpool and Merseyside this weekend.
