This is Llandudno in North Wales (about an hour's drive from "Glorious" New Brighton). Llandudno is a wonderful example of an unspoiled Victorian seaside resort.

Mrs b and I were staying in the second building from the right (with the tower-like bit). We were in the corner room on the first floor (second floor for our American friends) with the gold balcony.
