The first sawmill on the West coast was located here at this location. Started by The British owned Hudsons Bay Company in 1820. With so many settlers coming in a sawmill was really needed. The sawmill has been gone for over a hundred years now but the scenes of Autumn have changed little. Still beautiful as it was then. Enjoy
