This is Mission Concepcion here in S.A. This mission was not only a church but also a village, fort, school, farm, and ranch. The Franciscans gathered the native peoples together here and converted them to Catholicism and taught them Spanish culture. It was through missions that the Spanish sought to control the Texas frontier. I like the play of shadows in this shot. Enjoy. Comments welcome.
