At Flushing roads pilots go on board of an inward bound sea-going vessel to pilot it (mainly) to the port of Antwerp. Once in Antwerp the pilot will transfer to an outward bound sea going vessel to pilot it to Flushing roads. In Flushing the pilot goes ashore by means of a pilot vessel. At this image the return of such a vessel is shown after its 'visit' to (a) sea going vessel(s).
