Exceptions prove the rule: traditional Dutch windmills have usually a name, but not this traditional windmill from the village Aagtekerke, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The mill was built in 1801 to replace its predecessor, which was destroyed during a heavy storm.

The mill still grinds. In the wintertime not for grinding wheat however, but as a kind of maintenance function, because downtime means decline.

Even on this static picture, one can see it grinding, because the sails are attached on the blades.
