This is Мария Бабиенко (Masja or Maria Babenko), a female sailor of the Russian frigate 'Shtandart' (the 'Shtandart' is a replica of the, in 1703 built, original 'Shtandart'). She has tried to frighten me with her 'Pirate' outfit, but her charming smile had a contrary effect.

She gave me permission to take some photographs of her. I've sent this one, taken on August 9th, 2016 in Flushing, Zeeland, The Netherlands, as an email-attachment to her homeport email-adress in St.Petersburg, and on the day (September 3rd, 2016) that the Shtandart had arrived back in her homeport, she has sent me an email to express her thanks.
