This image was taken at the border of one of the canals of Middelburg, a medieval town at the peninsula Walcheren, and capital of the province of Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The city council has allowed this old, and no longer used, boat to be placed here for decorating/ornamental reasons and has placed 'saucers/bowls' filled with soil and flowers on it. The result was a wonderful and colorful sight enjoyed by not not only the citizens of Middelburg, but by people coming from elsewhere (mainly tourists) as well.
