Yesterday I said in my comment on Kathy's Peony image: "I'm somewhat amazed, Kathy! This year the nature in my area was ahead of its time when compared compared with the nature in your area. Exceptions confirm the rule however: the peonies in my garden are still having their buds stage."

Think that Mother Nature has read my 'complaint' (😄) because this morning I saw that they're in full bloom now. However, the cause could be another reason: the 'exploding' temperatures in my area now. This weekend a temperature of 28°C/82.4°F is expected!
