This night-shot was taken on December 7th, 2019 in Amsterdam, the capital of my small country (The Netherlands) on the occasion of the light festival, edition # 8 there (version 2019/2020 with the central theme 'Disrupt!').

There are 20 artworks shown on this festival. This one, called 'Big Bang' was created by the Taiwanese artists of the collective UxU Studio.

Information/description provided by the festival committee: according to the artists of the collective UxU Studio, there's nothing that symbolizes disruption more than an bomb. Their illuminated bomb hangs threatening in the air, as thought it's about to hit the water (or maybe even a passing boat). Those who come closer will also discover something surprising about the artwork: it's covered in soft feathers!
