This night-shot was taken on December 7th, 2019 in Amsterdam, the capital of my small country (The Netherlands) on the occasion of the light festival, edition # 8 there (version 2019/2020 with the central theme 'Disrupt!').
There are 20 artworks shown on this festival. This one, called 'Hiding In The Wolf's Lair' was created by the Dutch 'Republic of Amsterdam Radio & Nomad Tinker House'.
Information/description provided by the festival committee: "Four glowing wolves prowl about, having yet to notice the silhouettes of hidden figures. Despite the fact that it was a favored walkabout among German soldiers (WWII), ARTIS was also a safe heaven for around 200-300 people in hiding. Did you know that people did hid above the enclosure of the lions and the wolves?" (see my below PS)
PS:
1 - during the WWII, ARTIS served as a hiding place for Jews and members of the resistance, while German soldiers continued coming to the zoo for entertainment;
2 - this capture was hard to be taken (almost not feasible) because of the difference in lighting conditions (light intensity of the wolves versus the lighting conditions at the background).
Edit:
Referring to Tick's, aka OFT (Owd Fella Tick), comment below: I didn't know about the movie The Zookeeper's Wife, but after watching the trailer, this post will be a representation for the SNATM-theme (🎥). Thanks for your help, OFT, 👍 !
