This picture is taken at the Jan van Eyck Square in Bruges, Belgium. The houses around this square are mostly dated from the 17th century (about 1650).

The square is named after the Northern Renaissance art painter Jan van Eyck (born between 1380 - 1390, and died at July 9th, 1441). In the center of the square one can see his statue.
