Depicted is the container ship MSC 'Leverkusen Express' sailing on a hazy Western Scheldt river in Zeeland, The Netherlands, on her (as ships are female) way to the port of Antwerp, Belgium. Some characteristics:

-Gross Tonnage (GRT): 143,262

-IMO 9613006;

-Length: 366 meters;

-Width: 48 meters;

-Depth: 13.1 meters;

-TEU: 13,169;

-Homeport: Hamburg, Germany.

PS: I was asked where the abbreviation TEU stands for. It's used internationally to indicate the capacity of a container ship. It comes from 'Twenty foot Equivalent Unit'. Such a 20-foot shipping container (6.10 meters long) is always used as a standard size. But in practice, container ships are fully loaded with the longer, better known to the public, 40-foot container. Of these, only half fit on the 'Leverkusen Express': 6,584 pieces.
