If you check-out THIS LINK you can calculate that Macro images have a limited Depth Of Field (DOF).

This image was captured with a Nikon D5300 body and a AF-S Micro Nikkor 85mm 1:3 5 G ED VRII lens. I had the choice to focus manually at the middle, right or left side of these Dahlia Twins. In the first case both the flowers would have shown bokeh. In the latter case, only one of them would show the bokeh phenomenon (so definitively not blurred however, 😁). I've chosen to focus on the one on the right.
