When you check-out THIS LINK you'll see at the right side of the page a picture showing a monument dedicated to Jan and Pieter Appelmans.

If you then look at my picture (taken on July 2nd, 2023 in Antwerp, Belgium) you will see something remarkable: a female person has been added to the sculpture group. However, the woman isn't made of bronze, but of flesh and blood. It's a so-called 'living statue'. She doesn't even blink with her eyes. The boy has noticed that it's not a normal situation and is watching it with fascination. However, he hasn't yet discovered what his intuition tells him. After his mother's call to continue their walk, he complies, after much insistence.
