This image was taken in the Den Botaniek, a botanical garden in Antwerp, Belgium.

In this garden one can find an artwork created by Monique Donckers (only available in the Dutch language) which got the name 'Greening II'.

It shows a man going 'submerged' into or rising out of the grass. I've tried to find the essence of this artwork, but I only have found this: "Monique Donckers is a Belgian sculptor and painter. Her images are usually monumental and direct, often motionless. Images of a certain weight. In her works she consciously works with gradations of finishing, which increase the dramatic content of them. With her life-size statues Monique Donckers wants to make connections with life, where it is all about the space between people."

With respect of the above, Monique says: "I am in a world that is sometimes very strange to me. I look at my environment and try to place that in an image. I don't really make images to keep the world at a distance. I try to fix it in something and so I try to concretize the world and make it something that is tangible to me."
