On August 14th, 2025 a SAR (Search And Rescue) event took place in Flushing, a (harbor)town in Zeeland, The Netherlands. The Dutch Armed Forces (Royal Dutch Navy, Royal Netherlands Air Force, Royal Netherlands Army, and Royal Netherlands Military Police) capitalized on the enormous public interest in this event to recruit personnel. The Royal Netherlands Air Force even stationed a decommissioned F-16 on the sea front in Flushing as a recruitment target.

The picture shows this F-16 and demonstrates that there was significant interest.
