The light festival is a unique art event that takes place annually in Amsterdam during the winter months. It was the 14th edition. The festival features various light artworks installed along the canals and other locations in the city.

This image specifically shows the Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) building, illuminated with red light, and the replica of the VOC ship Amsterdam docked next to it.

The best way to see the artworks is often via a canal cruise, as shown by the many tour boats in the water, but, as you can see, I preferred another vantage point, 😁 .
