Some time ago, I showed you with THIS PICTURE that the Antwerp City Hall was being renovated when I took it.

That is why the background of the statue of Silvius Brabo was less attractive due to the scaffolding. Visitors to the Grote Markt (Big Market Square) also needed to be protected from falling debris.

The municipality officials were very resourceful in finding a suitable solution to this problem and decided to place a huge screen between the city hall and the statue. The screen depicted the city hall.

This picture, however, shows that the renovation is now complete, so the screen could be removed, allowing the Grote Markt of Antwerp to be seen in all its glory once again.
