Thats my brother, spinning his 'Poi' during a backpacking trip. they're basically Kevlar pads on the end of chains soaked in camping fuel. this is a 1.6 second exposure, using a rear-sync flash to stop his motion at the end of the exposure. however you can still see 2 silhouettes of David, as the poi passed behind him during the 1.6 seconds while he rotated.
