Took this shot from a "Lookout" booth .. from the Castle. I love the view of the city of Heidelberg down below. In the center of the photo you can see the Church of the Holy Spirit. This church is shared by both Protestant and Catholics by a wall dividing the church until 1936. It is now exclusively Protestant. The Church of the Holy Spirit was first mentioned in a manuscript in 1239. The construction lasted for some one hundred and fifty years, 1411 till about 1504 when the construction was interrupted until 1544. At the bottom right hand corner you can see one of the oldest university in Europe. The University of Heidelberg was founded in 1386.
