...........today you are in for a treat - we are visiting an historical building described by Pevsner as 'the English castle par excellence', Haddon Hall. The earliest part of the building, the Chapel, dates right back to the 12th century. Last year the hall was used as a film location for the BBC adaptation of Jane Eyre and presently they have costumes from the film on display throughout the hall.
