It seems like the birds were taking turns standing on the log. One morning it was Mallards and the next Geese. It is hunting season and all of the birds are completely stressed out. This log was in the center of Thompson Lake. A good buffer of water all of the way around it. I had to use a 2X teleconverter with my 600 mm lens. The teleconverter adds a little grain to the image. The iso was only 320. A huge loss of light. You get something and you lose something.
