This past Saturday morning I went out to capture images. It had rained most of the day before and well into the night. I had been out for about an hour when this young Coopers Hawk landed maybe 50 feet away from me on a branch that was only 4 feet off of the ground. She seemed to be oblivious to my presence and was more concerned to chase anything that was within about 6 feet of her. She threw herself off branch after branch chasing almost anything that moved. All of the bushes around her were wet from the rain so at one point she stopped to fan her tail feathers in an attemp to dry them. It was an amazing experience.
