With it being the most famous art museum on the planet, many people forget that for centuries the Musee du Louvre was the palace of the French kings. They really overdid themselves when it came to making the building special (and spending money on it, no doubt, which lead to the French Revolution). These are two of four columns holding up a stone balcony inside one of the wings of the place. And how about that smile between the fruit on the back wall? Paris, France; September, 2015.
