Testimony to the sturdy construction of The Castle, even Explosive demolition of Corfe left much of the huge stone work relatively undamaged... but the castle's hilltop position and subsequent ground slippage has caused one side of this archway to fall over a meter and a half! But the rooms within each half remain intact.
