Spirit is the name of this Eagle that had been rescued after hitting a power line and severing one wing. She is now part of an educational program at the Raptor Rescue Center in Juneau, Alaska. She has a permanant home here at the Center. What you are looking at is actually her back and her head turned 180 degrees, facing me square in the eye. I have several other pictures of her, but I thought this was the best. Please forgive the time stamp. This was taken before I knew how to adjust the camera settings...and would welcome any editing anyone could do for me to remove it.
