Before we left for Burma we made a contribution to do this. When we arrived at the monastery the food had been prepared by the locals. We then served it to over 1,000 monks and nuns. These particular monks are the students. Generally they take their bowls, go shoeless, and beg for food in the area. On this day, they got lots of food and no doubt shared it with their families.
