Landmannalaugar, the Icelandic Interior Highlands. The mid (and furthest) point on my inland trek that saw me crossing glacial rivers, deserts, mountains, snowfields and miles upon miles of jagged rock. On arrival, relaxing in the geothermal pools that naturally form there (heaven on earth after a long trek...) the sky clouded up with intermittent blue patched, allowing spots of sun to shine through. After a long, hot soak I got out and headed for the camera and a decent viewpoint...this one!
