Well Ticks warning shout seems to have caused me lady to " clear orff" so we can peruse her bed chamber at our lesuire. I have posted a picture of the room many moons ago Here But this is her bed in closer up. I can tell you that the matress is rock hard, I have no idea how on earth she slept on it. The plastering in this room is dated 1577. The bed is a stunning piece of carving. Even the top part of the canopy is a solid piece of carved wood. The tapestry hangings and coverings on the bed are all reconstructions of what it would have been. You can just make out the plastered ceiling just above the bed. Dorothy's night gown and cap are laid out ready for her. By the by,, Mr Wynn married twice. Both of them Dorothy's. The first was Dorothy Griffith who died in 1586 and he then married Dorothy Dymock in 1588.
