Like the title says that's what I thought it looked like that and it reminded me of Deep Purple although in that case, for those viewers not quite old enough to _remember_ ;) the lyrics are: Smoke on the Water, Fire in the Sky. Technical details - 5 exposure hdr render (+2ev +1ev 0ev -1ev -2ev) + high amounts of hand processing and a LOT of colour correction then further composed with a masked 30 second fisheye shot of the milky way (both taken last night) I was attempting to recreate what the eye actually saw, it was an amazingly clear moonless night and the stars were breathtaking! these shots were taken at 3am. I hope you like it. btw its the same waters as FREEZING POND IN SIELPIA just a different time of year and a slightly different angle ;)
