This is a 1935 White Motor Company Model 706 tour bus with a canvas roll back top. There is a whole fleet of these used in Glacier National Park to give tours of the area. The title "jammer" bus was given to it by past tour guides/drivers who had to "jam" the gears climbing the steep grades in the park. The busses were completely updated in 1989 to include power steering & auto. transmissions. In 1999 the whole fleet was pulled off due to chassis metal fatigue & cracking. They again were completely retrofitted with new running gear, refurbished & returned to service in 2002.
