Savannah, Georgia, USA. In the Cotton District, by River Street, the owners of cotton shipping companies set the price of cotton by standing on bridges like this while wagon loads of cotton from the plantations were driven through the alley below, called the Factors Walk. The buildings in Cotton Row stored the cotton prior to shipping, largely to Europe. Today, many restaurants and shops fill Cotton Row. Enjoy!
