Denali National park, Alaska, USA - July 2011. In the sub-arctic desert of Denali, elevations changes produce dramatic changes in the landscape. Trees, thin in the taiga, become sporadic in the tundra and are not seen on the mountains. All signs of vegetation disappears as the mountains rise above the tundra line. In the shade of a large mountain behind, a braided river winds its way across the landscape. Enjoy!
