In 1678, a group of Huguenots, including my ancestors, settled the town of New Paltz, in what was then New Amsterdam. It is 80 miles north of New York City and 70 miles south of Albany. This house was built in 1705, and expanded in the 1830s. Part of Historic Huguenot Street, it is open to the public for tours, serving as the visitors center. Recently, I had an all-day meeting in New Paltz. Arriving early and staying late, I took photos of the houses on the street. This is a three-exposure HDR image.
