Williamsburg, VA, USA. Built in the 1771, its notable feature is the massive cantilevered pediment. Throughout its life, it was significantly altered, and served a variety of purposes, including a Confederate hospital during the Civil War. In 1932, it was restored and opened as part of the Colonial Williamsburg museum. In 1989, the interior was restored to its 18th Century appearance, based on historical and archeological research.
