Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. An autumn-blooming flower in one of the many gardens designed by Thomas Jefferson at his beloved Monticello. It is quite large, on a stalk that is about two-feet in height, with the flower head being approximately five inches across. One of the Caedes horticultural experts may help identify it. Happy Foofy Friday, my friends! [Post Note: Caedes friends have identified this as a Red Velvet Celosia.]
