Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. Earlier I posted a photo of the reconstructed Blue Bell Tavern. As was the custom of the day, a sign hung outside, with a design that identified the business. This tavern / rooming house had a number of uses over the course of the 1700s, some less reputable than others.
