Jamestown, Virginia, USA. Months of extensive archaeological work led to the discovery of this fireplace. The bottom of this dig site is about five feet below today's ground level. Combined with written records from the colonial era, the archaeologists have figure this to be the cellar of a 'factory' building, similar to one found at a different place on the site about a decade ago.
