The Barbican is a huge concrete arts and residential complex about 5 minutes from where I live in the centre of London. When they were built in the 1980s the towers were the highest in London - the planning regulations were specially amended so that they could be built. It's an impressive place but I've never found it easy to photograph. This is as close as I've come to taking a picture I'm happy with. For more on the Barbican Centre click here.
