This was an interesting piece to create in Photoshop. I wanted to play with making lush wood textures and jewel-like decorations. I also wanted to figure a nice way to present a panoramic view in a 1600x1200 format. The photo is a scan from a slide I took a while ago. It was taken about 30 miles south of Provo, Utah - looking north. The awesome mountains are the Wasatch Range. During my Junior High and High School years I lived in Provo - and hiked and explored those mountains quite a bit. This particular winter evening, I caught the sun peeking through - lighting them in violets and red. I think they really do look majestic, shrouded with snow and light. Hope you enjoy the desktop.
