What is a traditional Christmas flower?

The Mexican poinsettia, known as the Christmas Flower in North America, is used in most Christmas decorations, owing to its bright red color and its blooming season coinciding with the Christmas holiday season.

With the holiday season nearly upon us, found some inspiration with one of our fellow Caedesian flower postings.. notably for the season thus far; "Golden Glow", "Hot One" and "First Poinsettia".
