There are buildings about which one can only guess if they ever had a finished form or whether they were a work forever in progress. Was one part deteriorating already, its material being recycled for neighboring purposes, while another was being desperately renovated? Likely we'll never know and the changing plans were probably burned several times over with the many rises and falls of this glorious building's home town. Where facts are lacking, there is all the more room for imagination. Some day I'd like to return to this building and see if I can take a better shot in other light and at other angles...
