This is another photo in our series on Hurricane Katrina's aftermath. These plastic flowers were tied to a fallen fence on the porch steps of a house that no longer exists. As you drive around the worst hit areas in New Orleans you can see this scene repeated many times - a front porch with no house, it having been washed away by the fast-moving flood waters. Apparently someone cared enough to leave this marker for those who lived here.
