it was mindblowing, because the guys in those years had to set this thing up in a huge pond, where then they were washing gold .... those pipes in front of the dredge were used to get rid of the permanent frost they had, so they could dig into the ground, they "simply" pressed hot steam into the ground .... ..... on the right you can see the shovels they used to dig ....
